BATSTONE—WEBB The marriage took plaee recently at St. Mary's Anglic-,n ChurCh, Levin, of Kathleen Melicent, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. C. Webbj Foxton Road, Levin, to Reginald Erriest, yOunger son of Mr. artd Mrs. R. A. Batstone, of Christchurch, . The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, looked dainty in a soft white satin gown with a long graceful scalloped train. The bodiee was trimmed with a yoke of "fine needle-run lace and erystal beads. The long bridal veil of silk net, appliqued with satin flowers, i fell softly over the train. A light shower bouquet of white roses and maidenhair fern completed her toilette. The bride was attended by Delys Taylor, of Wairoa, Ann Webb, the bride's. sister, and Stephanie Hutton-Moss, of Nelson, all dressed alike in ground-lengfh, uowder blue georgette frocks, with bouquets of red roses, carnations; silver leaves and maidenhair fern, and small matching ' head sprays. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. A. Batstone, Palmerston North, as best man, and Ean Claphone, of Christchurch, and Doug. McCready, ' of Palmerston North, as groomsmen. The ushers were Mr. Ashley Bell and Mr. Neville Webb, brother of the bride. As the bridal party left the church the bridegroom's small nephew, Michael Batstone, presented the bride with a good luck horseshoe. After the ceremony a reqeption was held at ^Williams' Tea Rooms, where the bride's parents, assisted by the bridegroom's parents, received approximately 120 guests. The bride's mother wore a lotus blue ensemble, with wine-coloured hat and blue feather mount. The bridegroom's mother was attired in a navy fioral frock. navy silk coat and navy accessories. Wlien the bride left by car for a tour of the North Island, she was wearing a pomegranate soft tweed ensemble, with pale pink blouse and navy accessories. A wedding party, at which 50
guests attended was held later in Christchurch for those who were unable to attend at the wedding owing to travelling diffieulties. Mr. and Mrs. Reg. Batstone's new mome will be in Christchurch.
