Young Farjmers on Tour On Wednesday some 20 members of the Moutoa Young Farmers' Club carried out an organised tour of inspection of the Longburn freezi'ng works and the Kiwi bacon factory. A most interesting and instructiye day was spent by the young men. Many Working Dogs Reporting to the Shannon Borough Council at its fortnightly meeting on Tuesday evening, the town clerk (Mr. J. T. Bovis) said that of the 95 dogs registered by •the borough ranger so far this/ year, 47 were registered as working dogs at the rate of 2s 6d, while 48 were registered at 10s. Councillors expressed surprise at the unusually large number of dogs that were used for stock work within the borough.
