N.Z. WOMEN CRICKETERS WIN FIRST MATCH OF TOUR

Received Friday, 12.10 a.ni. SYDNEY, March 20. In the opening match of their Australian tour today the New Zealand women cricketers beat New Soutli Wales juniors by 139 runs. The visitors batted first and seored 190 for six wickets declared -(J. Crothier S8, M. Coldham 5(5, N. ,Haynes 4, J. Hatchei 10, J. Fulford 4, I. Laniason 2, N. Sheridan not out 6, J. Lamason not our, G, sundries 14). Misses Clothier and Coldham put on 100 in 104 ininutes. Misis Clothier was in great form and her total included nine fours. The New Zealauders bowled well to dismiss New South Wales for 51. N. Sheridan took 4 for 7, J. Lamason 2 for 5, I. Lamason 2 for 7 and Z. Martin 2 for 4.
