NEW PLYMOUTH, March 20. ' A 111 an was killed instantly Whbn tlie car he was driving was hit by tlie New Blymoutli-Wellington express at tlie Gliinie Road level crossing ncar Ngaere this niorning. He was George Tliotnas Riulay, aged 35 years, married with two children, of Hawera, "and a niecliauie. Mr. Finlay was the only person in the car which was in the niiddle of the crossing when it was struck by the express which carried it about 20 eliaius further on before it stopped.
