800-MILE-AN-HOUR TESTS WITH MODEL PLANES.
Received Priday, 12.30 a.m. LONDON, March 20. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has warned_ pilots that an area over the Atlantic within an eleven and a half miles radius from a point near Bishop Rock will he dangerous for six months from April 1. Pilotless rnodel aircraft would he operated there and they may dive into the sea from 40,000 feet. The Evening Standard says the warning relates to scientists' attempts to exceed the speed of sound with a small rocket aeroplane which is expected to reach 800 miles an hour.
