Donaldson, holder of the world 's air speed record of 616 miles an hour, is planning a nonstop record flight from San Francisco to New York in a jetpropelled Meteor. He revealed this yesterday after heing presented with the Britannia trophy, the premier British aviation award, for his recordbreaking flight. "Conditions in America," he said, ' ' are suitahle for snch a flight. I am certain I could cover the distance (2668 miles) at something approaehing 700 miles an honr and that would he only crnising without rushing it."
