ATHLETIC FOOTBALL CLUB
FORTY MEMBERS AT ANNUAL MEETING The annual general meeting of the Athletic Football Club was held recently. There was an attendance of over 40 members and supportCfs, and ,a yery enthusiastic meeting resulted. The' president's report showed a reeord membership, and that the senior team had won the Horowhenpa senior competition. The balance sheet showed a credit of over £22. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted .as foilows: — Pat,ron Mr. C. Larsen; president: Mr. H. R'ippin; club captain: Mr. A. French; deputy club captain: Mr. D. Mercer; 19 vice-presidents were elected; secretary: Mr.' D. Sor.ens.on; treasurer: Mr. A. T. Fletcher; committee : Messrs. WMarks, A. Qalpin, C. Wilkinson, D. Collier and J- Dunlop; social committee: Mesdanies Rippin, Galpih, Fletcher e-nd Miss N. Fletcher and Messrs..;. R. - Judd ( secretary) , JD. Collier, .J, LOnias and I. Rond; coaches ; Messrs: L. Palmer (semor), A- Gilpin "(junlbr) and W. Marks (third grade). Subscriptions are to remain the same as last year, 10s for senior and junior and 2s 6d for third grade. A donation of £5 was made to the St. John Ambulance Brigade, of which amount Mr. C. Larsen had promised £2. Messrs A. Galpin, L. Wiliiams and H. Fletcher were elected life members in recognition of services rendered during the past. It was depided to forward a letter of apprepiation, together with £1 ls, to the honorary auditpr, Mr. G. H- S.orehspn. It -was resolved to opep .a gymnasium building- fund account with £50 to be taken from the funds and placed in National S,ayings, and 33 1-3 p.er cent. to be added each season from the proflts, Severul ^aynes were airanged to take place before the officiai opening Pf the season-
