Received Wednesday, 10.25 p.m. SYDNEY, March 19. As the result pf tlie waterside strike 32 thoioughbi'ed New Zealand liorses have been fqrced to remain in the hold pi The Whliine since slie arrived in Sydney yesterday morning. The secretary of the R.S.P.C.A. (Mr. Tord) said he protested that the liorses were sliowing signs of conlineincnt to the hold in tremendously hot conditions after they had vovaged from New Zealand. Everytliing possible was being done by the' ship 's company, but unless the unfortunate liorses were discharged they miglit have to be sent back to New Zealand. He regarded the rofusal to land the liorses as sliowing great lack of liumane feeling.
