BRITISH PLANE CRASHES
Received Wednesdav, 11.35 p.m. COLOMBO, March 19. An R.A.E. York passenger aircraft bound from England to Hingapore erashed soon after taking o(f from the Negoinbo airport, killing four of the six nieinbers of ihe erew and seven of tjje nine passengers. All four survivors badly. injured. The passengers , were naval personml and civilians. The pilot was among those killed. Reuter 's correspondent at Colombo says wlien the aircraft developed engine trouble the pilot headed towards tlie sea. The aircraft erashed on a eoconut plantation two niiles from the airport and lnirst into fiames.
