Herd Improvement The following are the group averages for cows tested in this district during February by the Wellington-Hawke's Bay Herd Improvement Association. Shan-non-Foxton area: Herds tested, -23; cows tested, 1302; milk, 655 lbs. ; test, 4.86; fat, 32 lbs. ; highest herd, cows 68, fat 47 lbs. Toko-maru-Opiki area: Herds 24,' cows 1238, milk 616 lbs., test 5.16, fat 32 lbs., highest herd, cows 41, fat 39 lbs. The association average for all cows tested in the WellingtonHawke's Bay area during February was as follows, figures in parentheses being the figures for February last year: Herds 945 (807), cows 41,873 (37,493), milk 613 (584), test 4.99 (5.15), fat 30.5 lbs. (30.0 lbs.) .
