TROOPS REVOLT IN PARAGUAY
Received Friday, 10.15 a.m. ASUNCION, March 13. Local Governmenfe troops are reported to have placed Concepcion under. seige in an effort to crush a six-day-old revolt of between 600 and 700 soldiers. The Government, in announcing that Concepcion was surrounded.j said it was urging the rebels to surrendel- to avoid useless bloodshed The communique declared. that there had been 110 action on J the ground and air operations hadl been limited to milltary objectives outside the city. Government sources claimed that! armed Communists, who are sup-j porting the soldier rebels, had ar-1 rested priests and nuns and plundered many Concepcion business places.
