Received Friday, 10.25 a.m. CAPETOWN, Marcli 13. The Royal train with Their Majesties and the Princesses has arrived at Ladysmith, the scene of the famous seige, says Reuter's correspondent. Field-Marslial Smuts met the Royal family at the station. The first thing that Princess Elizabeth asked to be 'shown was Spion Kop, the historic hill which was the battle-ground when the British relieved Ladysmith in 1900. As the train entered Natal from Orange Free State, the Princesses showed the keenest interest in the fortifications and otlier relics of the Boer War. At Hacrismith the Nationalist member of Parliament, Mr. E. R. Strauss, and a a member of the town's Reception Council, Mr. D. J. Dejager, declined invitations to meet the Royal family. The town's reception, however, was typical of most others. Many thousands cheered and shouted greetings.
