PLANE'S UNUSUAL MISHAP

Received Tuesdav, 10 p.m. NEW YORK, Mar. 10. Transworld Airlines stated that while one of their Constellation planes was flying to Europe tonight, the- glagS-astro-dome exploded and the hfivigator was tlnown from the plane into the ocean. The plane, which was about 900 miles from Newfoundlaiul when the explosion occurred, turned back to Gandar airport from where it had taken off. The explosion occurred at 19,000 feet, making the pressure svstem for the cabin useless. The pilot dived the plane to 10,000 feet where the atrnospheric pressure was safe. None of the live otlier members of the crew and 18 passengers was injured.
