Received Monday, 8.55 p.m. SYDNEY, Mar. 10.' By an overwhelmig inajority watfersiders today decided not to resume work 011 the SydnCy waterfront. ' A motion that work should cease immediately on all Australian wharves Was defeated. The men decided that there would be no return to work in Sydney lintil the order that the men should work three hours , overtime 011 Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, to clear accumnlated cargo, was withdrawn by the Stevedoring Industry Commission. Because of the strike 55 ships in Sydney are idle and the Wharves and holds are choked with 100,000 tons of cargo. Communist pamphlets demanding a national waterside strike were issued to the men as they met today.
