MYSTERY OF LORD ASHLEY'S DEATH
Received Mondav, 7 p.m. LONDON, March '9. ' Lord Ashley, heir of the Earl of Shaftesbury, was found dead at his Iioine Winibourne Street, Giles, Dorset, oh March 8, lying fully dressed on his bed two hours after he went to his room to rest, says the Daily Expresa A post mortem will be held tomorrow. Lady Ashley, who was Lord Ashley 's second wife, obtained a deeree nisi on Tanuary 15 and the custody of the two children of the marriage. Lord Ash'ey's lirst marriage on February 3, 1927, was to Miss Loui.se Sylvia Hawkes, foraier mannequin and musical comedy .ictress. He obtained a divorce in 1935, ••iting Douglas Fairbanks, filni star, as eoresspondent. Fairbanks subsequently tnarried Lady Ashley.
