WELLINGTON, Mar. 9. Following the decision of the New Zealand Boxing Council in refusing to allow the Jones-Stevcns liglit to proceed pendixig an inquiry into the control of boxing -in the Hutt Valley and the suspension of Bos Murpliy's licence, statenients have been issued by Mr. Stewart, chairman of the Hutt Valley Boxing Associatipu, and by Murplxy. Both cliarge the council with acting contrary to its rules. Lt is stated that legal action is pending against the council by Murphy to vindicate his uame and to rectify the injury done to him by the council 's action in suspending liis licen.ce. The New Zealand Boxing Council is expected to niake availalxle all information when its inquiry1 is concluded. No comment is> being made at the moment on the statenients by Murphy and Mr. Stewart.
