ASSISTANT PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSIONERS

WELLINGTON, March 10. The Public Service Commission announces the appointment from today of three assistant commis*sioners, one by promotion within its present staff, one on transfer from the Public Trust Office and one on transfer from the State Advances Corporation. The new asistant commisioners are Messrs. W. A. Atkinson, C. G. S. Ellis and G. E. Turney. Mr. Atkinson is at present secretary to the commission, Mr. Ellis is branch manager of the State Advances, Auckland, and Mr. Turney is an accountant with the Public 'Trust. The strengthening of the commission is required to enable it to discharge its tfisks, particularly the f-nmfer of emoloyees from the temporary to permanent staff.
