FARMER CLAIMS TO HAVE SON OF BERNBOROUGH
Received Fridav 7.0 p.m. SYDNEY, Aiar. 7. The only evidence the Queensland farmcr Mr! Jack Bach can produce that his colt Arr. Bernie is a son of Bcrnborough, is an entry of the mating date in his father's diary and the likeness of the colt itself, says Hugh Dash in 'Ihe Telegraph which- today publishes a front page of comparative pictures. Air Dash says that the Queensland Turf (ilub will not permit any liorses owned i hy Mr Bach to rnee and that if the ban is not lifted the colt will be submitted for public auction in Eydney with a reserve price of "about £3000. Air. Bach 's trump eard is the resemblance of the colt to Bernborough. He is a bay, rising three vears, and is beautifully proport.ioned without a bad point. The head is almost Ihe repliea of Bernboroiigh 's except for the ears which are closer set. ■
