Munford, Pretoria Road, gathered at the Mangaore Social Hall on Monday afternoon to say farewell and bon voyage. Mrs. Cane presented the guest of honour with a bouquet on arrival and soon all were engaged in a competition, which was won by Mrs. M. Taylor, of Wellington. Mrs. S. Barber rendered vocal numbers, self accompanied, Miss June Roberts entertained with two humorous recitations and Mrs. H. Easton (Levin), with Mrs. A. Clarke (Te Horo) at the piano, sang. Mrs. Easton and Mrs. Clark also combined in a vocal duet. Following the serving of afternoon tea, Mrs. Campbell, on behalf of those present and the others who had sent apologies, handed Mrs. Munford a handbag and pinned on her a shoulder spray, at the same time wishing her a very pleasant voyage to Englanfl, a happy time with her people and a safe return to New Zealand. Mrs. Munford, who was comnletely surprised. at the party, expressed her thanks for the gift. The remainder of the afternoon was spent in a delightful social gatherin^
