Received Tuesday, 11.30 a.m. LONDON, March 3. Tlje Under-Secretary for Iftdia. Mr. Arthur Henderson, in a written reply in the House of Cominons, stated that the ftest available estimate of the" number of persons killed in India in communal riots during 1946 was approximately 12,400.
