FEBRUARY MEETING The February meeting of the Opiki Women's Institute was presided pver by ; the vice-president; (Mrs. Kriven) ahd there was a good atten.dance .of members present. Nominations were accepted for the new president and committee. The roll call was "The three most necessary things in the medicine chest." The usual competitions were held and the ' winners were: — Best bloom: Mrs. Robinson 1, Mrs. Irwin 2, Mrs. Gregory 3. Collectiou of fruit: Mrs. Irwin; cluster, Mrs. Irwin 1, Mrs. Gregory 2. Slice of Christmas cake: Mrs. Sames 1, Mrs. Horn 2, Mrs. Irwin 3. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Olsen, Vile and Miss Vile. It was announced that the competitions for next meeting would be three pikelets, best bloom, cluster, one cucumber, and three tomatoes (quality) . The hostesses will be the members of the new committee.
