Received Friday, 11.10 a.m. LONDON, Feb. 27. A 12-inch leaking gasmain rseleased a cloud of gas iHto bouses in a street in Birminghanr, killing two women. Two girls living in adjacent liouses were first found at 4 p.m. yesterday to be sullfering from the efEects of gas. The poliee warned householders to open windows and put out all fires. Subsfequently they visited pther houses and found an unconscious man in the lirst house and a dead woman in the next house. Knocks at another broughi no reply so the poliee broke in and found a man and his wife unconscious. The woman later died. Two men and a woman were found unconscious in the sixth house. The poliee early this mornmg evacuated all sixty houses in the street.
