AUCKLAND, Feb. 27. Nine passengei-s suffei'ed minor in- ! juries and two motormen had laeky ' eseapes when two traras eollided at tlie I interseetion of Pitt and. Beresford. ' Streets shortly after two o'elock this | afternoon. The erash was heard by rnen at the St.- Johji Ambulanee station and they hurrjed to the seene of the aec.ident. Althongft both trams had been more tha'ji half full, no serious in juries were -suffered and nine people who required treatment for euts and bruises were able to walk to the station where thev received attention and were served with vups of tea. The driving compartments of both trams i were damaged.
