GREYTOWN, Friday. The death occurred at Greytown yesterday of an old Wairarapa settler, Mr. William Bennett Alien, in his 100th year. Born in Wellington the late Mr. Allen resided in the Wairarapa for nearly seventy yeai's and had been associated as a member with vari- . ous local bodies and institutions over a long period of years. He was engaged in farming for many years and was a noted sheep breeder and exhibitor at shows as far ba.ck as over 60 years ago. He retired some years ago. .
