Many Permits Sought LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL'S EXPER1ENCE An indication of the number of buildings being erected in- Levin is contained in a report presented to the Borough COuncil on Monday night, which reveals that a minor boom is beinfe- experienced in the building trade. Permits in respect of 57 private Iwellings involving £92,058 were issued from April 1, 1946 to Janu1 ary 31, 1947. A total of 36 permits for alterations and additions to private dwellrngs were issued over the same period. Permits for the erection of flve other buildings were issued, involving the sum of £3635. Five .nermits for additions and alterations to other buildings, involving £38& were also approved. During January, permits were issued for the erection -of three private dwellings, ■ involving £6675 and two alterations and additions involving £185.
