JOCKEYS INTERFERED WITH SCALES

DUNEDIN, Feb. 26. At a s])ecinl meetiug of the Dunedin ( district committee lield this morning, K. Xuttall, apprentice jockey, was charged with wilfully interfering with the weighing scales at a race meeting conducted by the Kurow Jockey Club, Oamaru, on Deceinber 21, 1946, and with wilfully and eorruptlv supplying false information to the judicial committee of the Kurow Jockey Club in connection with the inquiry lield by that committee into the matter 011 the above date. !M. J. McOlinteck, apprentice jockey, was charged with wilfully interfering with the weights for cheeking the scales at the above meeting. Xuttall and HcCliuiock were representel by counsel. The committee resolved, J after reviewing the evidence, that j Xuttall be disqualilied for a period of i two years and that AlcClintoclc be susj pended f.or the remainder of the cur- [ rent racing season till July 31, 1947.
