MONTHLY MEETING All members were present at the monthly meeting of the Opiki School Committee which was held in the school office recently, The headmaster, Mr. J. Calder, reported that the roll was now 116 and that the children were now getting milk each day through the Health Department. It whs decided to have a working bee to prepare the runways on the tennis courts for bitumen. This will be a very welcome improvement to the long grass which has always been a problem to the committee and it is hoped that in future the children will have a dry place to play on during the winter months. Following a aiscussion, it was decided to hold the annuar school picnlc at the Foxton Beach on Friday, February 28.
