The winner was C. Kidd (Southland) who iinished four minutes ahead of C. Conza (Auckland) with F. Clow (Taranaki) third. Of 13 starters six Iinished, fourth, lifth and sixth places being filled by C. T. Jones (Wellington), Miss M. Craney (Auckland) the only woman competitor, and the veteran S. Guppy (Wellington) respectively. Guppy, tliough over lialf a mile beliind, Iinished gamely, swimming breaststroke all tlie way. The Ro land St. Clair Memorial Cup for fastest time went to the winner, C. Kidd, time two hours and 16 seconds.
