Receiv-ed Friday, 7.35 p.m. NEW YORK, Feh. 20. A container laden with delicate scientitic mstrumehts and cameras was ejected by an explosive charge from the warhead of a German V 2 rocket at a height of 68 miles today at White Sands, New Mexico, and floated to earth by parachute. The rocket took 190 seconds to reach its zenith but the parachute, which was. of the ribbon type, worked so' satjsfaetorily that the instrument con-" tainer was 50 minutes in returning to earth. This is the first time such an experintent has heen tried. Army officers who supervised the test expect it will yield much valuahle l data including some extraordinary photographs.
