"Nothing has yet been decided,"' said Mr. Andrews, "but we are aiming to slart play on May 16 by thc latest since thc second round of the Davis Cup matches must bc completcd by May 20. If this can be arranged it wili give our team timo to have a fortnight's play iu Engiand after their arrival on April 23 and tlicn to reuch Oslo Iive or six days bei'ore the match begius. We are only assuming that it will be at Oslo." Mr. Andrews coniniented that Davis Cup teauis usuallv eomprised i'our prayers. It was p^sible that other New Zealanders in Engiand, including C. Malfroy, D. C. Coonvbe and J. Copc, thc latter a Cambridge Blue, might be available when the deeisiou was made to complete thc team. "1 assume the team will be clxosen from the three visiting players and those New Zealanders reslileut hore. I am afraid 1 persoually have to give up conipetitive tenuis," said Mr. Andrews, "a'nd I doubt whether I will be able to accompauy the team to Norway in anv case." He added that in addition to the ar- ! raugements being made for the New Zealanders to plav at Wimbledon, if was also intended that they play in several other English tournaments and at Paris. "The only way for New Zealand U get ahead in the tennis world is for her youug players to travel, " said Mr. Andrews. "They will be hcre for three months. It is a pity it is not ionger but still it is somcthing."
