OTAKI BOY SCOUTS
MEETING OF COMMITTEE A meeting of the committee of the Otaki Boy Scouts was held on Wednesday night, the president, Mr. Frank Rule, presiding. A circulaiL, letter was read from the Wellington County Commissioner, Mr. J. Henderson, as follows: "This week commences with our Founder's Day meeting in the Wellington Town Hall, and in his name I call on each and every cub, scout, rover and leader to implement this scout promise — to help other people. Each member of this brotherhood will be required to do a specific good turn .every day during this work, and if any group good turn can be accomplished — excellent! Would scoiiters please send in a report to their district commissioner of any. group good turns. During this week I propose to conduct an official inspection of cubs, scouts and rovers, and will be visiting Otaki on Saturday, March 1, at 4 p.m. Arrangements for place will be in the hands of the district commissioner concerned. I look forward to a happy and successful scout week." It was thought that scouts and others interested should be encouraged to attend and arrangements will be made accordingly. Messrs. Moss (district scoutmaster) and Renner (scoutmaster) will help, and it is hoped the boys themselves will attend in force and make thej visit successful and enjoyable. i A welcome was accorded Mr. and Mrs. Renner, who are greatiy inter- l ested in scout work, and who have come to Otaki to take up residence. | Mr. Renner will shortly take Mr. Moss' place as scoutmaster. It was ' felt that both would be an acquisi-, tion to the scout movement.
