High Siandard At Levin's Annual Fixture The overcast and cool conditiohs prevailing in Levin yesterday wefe 10 deterrent to the. pupils of the Levin Primary School who mustsred at the Coronation Baths to compete in the school's annual swimming coihpetitiohs. The performance of the entrants in the learners' class was very good. Jahy of the competitors showed considerable promise, and their pefformande generally was a comolifnent to their instructor, Miss tJ. arner. A high standard was maintained by the more expefiehced swimmers. Partieularly outstanding were the lerformances of Donna Ferguson,, the winner of the school champion-q ship award in the girls' section, an.d,,! the champion boy swimmer, Richard Routiey. . . When presenting the wards, Mrs. H. F. McClune, extended her congfatulations to the winner, s. ^ The swimming judges were: Mr. W. O. Neas and Misses Eichelbauin and C. Turner. Mr. F. G.
