WAITARERE'S MONTHLY MEETING

There was a fair attendance at the February meeting of the Waitarere Women's Institute. In the "unavoidable absence of' the president and secretary, these positions were filled for the meeting by M'esdames Aldrich and Hood respectively. Mrs. Stallard was hostess for the afternoon. Following afternoon jtea Mrs. Stanley gave a demonstration on the making of soft toys. The competitions for the month. were won as follows: — Plum jam: Mrs. Aldrich l; Mrs. Hood 2, Mrs. Fraser 3. Best bloom from garden: Mrs. Stallard 1, Mrs. Stanley 2, Mrs. Hood 3.
