WELLINGTON, Feb. 19, Endorsement of the "Well Made New Zealand" slogan was given by the conference of, the New Zealand Manufacturers' Federation today in a resolution drawing attention to the necessity of maintaining the highest possible standards of production in keeping with the slogan. A remit from the Canterbury Association recommended that in future publicity the public 'be advised that by buying branded goods they would be safeguarded to the greatest possible extent against inferior products. There had not been much sub-standard manufactured goods, but -undu'e pubiicity had been given them and when the Canterbury Association investigated it could not trade them back because they were not branded.
