It was oponae! by tho Ministcr of Agriculture, Ilon. E. L. (Jtallcn. Messrs A. Linton (Greytown) and W. G. Macartney (Tai Tapu) represented the Dairy Board, Dr. J/'F. Filmcr, Messrs W. C. Barry and E. L. Grccnsniith tlm (fovernmont, Messrs A. Lcslie (Eltham) and R. T. Seott (Morrinsville) the Doininion Federation of Farmers' Veter inarv Serviccs, Mr. W. Horrobin (Waikanae) Ihe Wool Board, Mr. G. Macdonald Cambridge) tlie Ncw Zealaud Veterinary Association. Mr. Cullen said the appoiutment oi' the council was a maguificont step forward and their work would grcally assist farmers so far as diseases oi stoek wero concerncd. He would tie pleased to cooperate in the fullest degrec during his terru of office. Mr. Linton was appointed chairtnan of'tltc council and Mr. Scott deputvchairman. Mr. C. IT. Courtney, secretary of the Dairy Board, was appointed secretary of the council.
