Valentine Otene, aged 23, farmhand, of Paterangi, fractured skull and other injuries. His conditi'oii is serious. Mrs. Thelma Jane McConnach, of Paterangi, concussion. Her condition is not serious. . A five-seater car driven by Paul was going towards Paterangi when it. skidded and strnck a stationary tr'uek, Tb'e foree of the impact pushed the truck forward several chains, smashing a telegraph pole before it came to rest. Paul was killed instautly.
