WELLINGTON, Feb. 12. With no new outbrealcs reported and. iiiost of the existing* fires fairlv low, there was a decided improvement yesterday in the' situation in the Main Trunk bush area. The weather forecast, however, was not fav'ourable from the fire hazard point of view, the indieations being for ihcre'asing winds.
