Unless the Australian Railway s Union gets penalty rates for week-end work, now the subject of a elaim beford the Oourt in Melbourne, it V'ill consider refusing york at the week-ends. This is the effect'of a decision by the State Council which condemned the delay and ealled on the New South Wales Government to restrain the 'New South Wales Railway Commissioner from opposing •tlie claiih. The council decided that unless a -atisfaclory settlement was reaehed on the claim, State braiich delegates'to the Australian council of the union woukl be authorised to support a move1 that members refuse to olfer for duty on the days for which the claim was disallowed.
