The death has occurred after a short illness of Miss Gertrude Green, of Pakowhai Road, Hastings.Miss Green had a Dominion-wide reputation as one of New Zealand's leading authorities in the breeding of dairy Shorthorn cattle and in the -pig-producing industry. Two senior radiologRts for the board's institutions were appointed by the Auckland Hospital Board this week at a starting salary of £1350 a year. They are Dr. C. W. B. Woodham, M.R.C.S. (England), L.R.C.P. (London) , D.M.R.E. (Cambridge) , and Dr. N. Klein, M.D. (Masaryk University, Czechoslovakia) , DM.R. (University of Vienna), L.R.C.P., L.R.C.S. OEdinburgh)., L.R.F.P.S. (Glasgow) .
