HELICOPTER REACHES RECORD ALTITUDE
Received Tuesdav, 7.15 p.m. NEW YORK, Feb. 10. An unotficial world helicopter al ti tude record of 18,850 feet was estab lished by an Army test p i J 0 1 in a maeli ine which was not strippcd for the occasion. A National Aeronautical Association observer who watched the flight from an aecompanying bomber, will eertifv the figure for a claim to a record. The previous record of 11,243 feet had been held by Germany since 1939.
