NEW SUPREME COURT JUDGE
WELLINGTON, Feb. 12. The appointment by the Gov-ernor-General in Council of Mr. James Christie, C.M.G., of Wellington, former law draftsman, as a temporary judge of the Supreme (Jourt was announced offieially today by the Attorney-General, Mr. Mason, who said the appointment nad been occasioned by the absence of Mr. Justice Northcroft I in Japan and the need for Mr. Jus- ! vice Plnlay devoting his time to the iGaming Commission. Mr. Christie will be sworn in immediately.
