A iirm of assessors olTers a ro ward of £1 000 for the recovery of £15,750 iu banknotes which was stoien in a mailbag on a train between Readiug and Mhrewsbury, says the Daily Telegraph. Hcotland Vard is puzzJed as to how tho tliieves idenfilied the maiJbag. The nioney was postod at a London post ollice on the morning' qf February 6. The banknotes wero tlien placed in a nmilbag- which bore a destination labei, vvitli nothing to denote its special contenls. It was placed on the London-Birkenliead train with liundreds of siniilar mailbags. It is believed that the tliieves for vveeks made extensive rail trips noting the details of sccurity measures.
