SOCIALISTS SHARE POSTS IN POLISH CABINET
Received Monday, 9.30 p.m. LOXDON, Feb. 10. The Socialists and Gommunists share the 10 leading posts in the Polish Cabinet which the Socialist Prime Minister (Mr. Cyrank lewicz) announced. The Warsaw corrcspondent of Thc Timcs says it is rnost signilicant that Foreign Affairs and Pubiic "Security remain the domain of tlie Communist Partv, which thus largely controls homc and foreign policy, and the fact that the Ministry of Education has also [passed to Communist hands gives theni additional importanco and pow;er. On the wliole, however, the position the Socialists have obtained is welcoine and sliows the remarkable revival of the party, which is traditionally wcstern jin oullook and enjoys wide support in | Poland a fact which is expeeted to enj able the new Cabinet to wiclen the basis of its support in the country gcnerally. The llnited States Ambassador (Mr. Arthur Lane) has been recalled to ! Washington for consultations about thc future policy of the United States to wards Poland, says Reuter's Warsaw correspondent. Political circles think he will be replaced.
