GOLDMINERS TO APPEAL TO THE KING
Keceived Sundav, S.50 p.m. CAPETOWN, Feb, 9. Mr. D. E. Ellis, secretary of the United Minevvorkers ' Coinnrittee, said thay were determined to continue the stri'ke in the goldmines until the King reaclied the Raud when the miners 1 would petition him to intervene. Mr. Ellis said the miners expected the King, as a democratie monarch, to sympathise with tlieir struggle for a democratie ally run trades union.
