Personal ,, Mrs. Quinn, of Taihape, is the guest of Mrs. McGilligan. Mrs. Merwood has returned from Wellington, where she was present, at the bowling tournament. The death bccurred on Friday at the residence of Mr. E. Cobb, Otaki, of Henry, husband of the late Mrs. Emma Collins. The deceased was 78 years of age. The funeral takes place at Sanson today. Otaki Bowlers Several Otaki bowlers left Otaki yesterday and early this morning to take part in the fours tournament, which opened at Wellington today. Players from this district did well at the singles and pairs tournaments, and it is hoped that those taking part in the fours will also be prominent.

A booth has been allotted the Masterton Racing Club, and Mr. Jack Kelleher, of Otaki, has been the successful applicant. A practice was arranged for this afternoon, and quite a number of interested ladies wended their way to the green, among those to take part being several croquet players. Motor Collision Three motor vehicles were involved in a mishap in Main Street early this morning. Mr. H. J. Arcus' car was involved in a collision with a lorry belonging to Mr. C. Fox, who was pulling out from the kerbing. The latter vehicle was pushed against Mr. T. Harvey's truck, causing that vehicle to go forward to stop by a concrete kerb - ing block. However, very little damage resulted, all vehicles being able to proceed without difficulty.
