Competition was strong for the fairly good selection offered, espeeially from Bradford and the Continent, with Russia operating selectivelv, which resulted in some fancy prices. Merinos and crossb'reds, compared with the Bradford saies, were: — Scoured Merinos 5 to 10 per cent. higher, greasy Merinos par to 74 per cent., flne erossbred 5 per cent., medium and coarse par to 5 per cent. dearer.
