FORTHCOMING FUNCTIONS A meeting of persons interested in the Otaki State School reunion, which is to be held next week and celebrated by an open-air concert and dance, was held on Thursday night, Mr. Harold Taylor presiding. An apology was received from Mr. Ray Bills (secretary) on account oi indisposition, and Mr. James wai appointed secretary for the evening. Several letters were read irom expupils who desired t() join the Old Pupils' Association. ' They stated that they would attend the functions, at the same time hoping the gatherings would be a great success. Badges were on hand and as they are very attractive, should sell readily, the price being fixed at 4s. Supper arrangements, etc., were well considered, and the final preparations left to the ladies to attend to. It was agreed that Arthurs' orchestra of five players be again secured. It was decided that Mr. Bunny Carkeek be M.C. for the gatherings, while it was stated that a good concert programme was also being arranged. It was agreed to hold anothei meeting on Wednesday night.
