Personal Mrs. Gurney is at present in the 'South Island on holiday. Sister Yates, of Palmerston North, is at present on a visit to Otaki. The funeral of the late Miss Oriwa te Waru took place at Otaki yesterday when the remains were buried in the Maori cemetery in the presence or a numoer or »Natives and Europeans. The Rev. Paora remuera conducted the service. Beautiful Maori mats and floral Dributes were placed on the casket. A Fine Effort To be 82 years of tage and ride a cycle from Waikanae to Otaki and oack was recently the performance of Mr. Clem Udy, of Waikanae. Mr. Udy, who was a pupil of the Otaki School, has become a life member of the Old Pupils' Association. q Inia Tewiata Concert Bookings are heavy for the concert to be held at Otaki by Mr. Inia Tewiata. who leaves on February 28 to go abroad for further stuay. A very large number of Foxton-ites have booked seats, while Levin and other parts of the district will be largely represented. The theatre, no doubt, will be more than filled, and those who have not booked seats should do so. The box plan is at Mr. Arthur Knox's business premises.
