A. and Mrs. Ashwin, who have been on a holiday visit to Wanganui, have returned to their home in Otaki. 1 The death occurred last night of Miss Oriwa Te Wharu, a wellknown native of Otaki. The aeeeased had been in indifferent health for some time. Ladies' Bowling ■ It is expected that the lady bowlers of Otaki will commence play on the Railway Club's green next week. Vital Statistics The vital statistics registered at Otaki for January were:— Births: European 10, Maori one. Deaths: European one, Maori nil. _ No marriage certificates were issued.
