Estates to the value of £597,037 were reported and accepted for administration by the Public Trustee during the month of December,. 1946, The tot-ai value of estates and funds under administration by the Public Trustee on March 31, 1946, was £67,598,875, and the new business for the nine months ended December 31 was £6,408,640, Grants of administration made by the court in favour of the Public Trustee numbered 127 for the month. During the . month 442 new wills appointing the Public Trustee " executor were prepared on behalf of testators and lodged for sa'fe' custody and 488 existing wills were revised' to provide for changes desired by testators. The total number of wills now held ip the Public Trust Office on behalf of living persons is 135,062,
